More Flickr

http://www.flickr.com/photos/kodet/ I just added a photo from my cell phone, it is called "football moms". All I had to do is add flickr as a contact and then add an email address. It was so easy and the photo send very quickly. Cool!

Flickr

http://www.flickr.com/photos/kodet/ This is the link to my new flickr account- so far I am only posted one very special photo- taken earlier this week of my son and his great grandma. I normally use shutterfly as my image hosting site, but I will play around with Flickr.

RSS Feeds- GREAT!

I just learned what an RSS Feed was about 3 weeks ago. I just finish setting up some feeds and I am thinking of all the great work and fun feeds I can set up in the future. I LOVE THIS!

Web 2.0

I just finished watching the Steven Abram interview. He is so excited about technology. I agree with him when he talks about learning and using new technologies and how once you start to use it, you become excited and somewhat proud of your new knowledge and ability. 23 things creates a fun, safe, pressure-free place to experiment and experience new technologies. I also agree with Steven, when he talks about making time to work on the 23 things, it is just a matter of making it a priority.

Adding an Avatar

Well, still day 1 of blogging. I have successfully added an avatar to my space. I used Yahoo Avatars. The site was very user friendly. It took a little searching around in "Template" tab on the Blogger.com site to figure out how to upload the avatar. It was kind of fun creating the avatar, and I like that you can change the appearence and facial expressions.

Day 1- February 6, 2008

Good Morning. I am Laurie Kodet, Lead Circulation Clerk at the Northfield Public Library, Northfield, MN. I am participating in a Library Learning 2.0 Program called "23 things on a stick". The first task was to create a blog. My first thoughts were when will I have time to do this and how complicated will it be. Well, I can tell you it took only a few minutes to create the blog and start blogging. It was quite simple. I am excited about continuing.
